Red List Rescue Mission 29: Marigold
Frost Fund Fam! It’s time to come together for sweet Marigold, currently on the urgent list and approaching red list status due to kennel stress after over 210 days at the Long Beach Animal Care Shelter. She needs a committed adopter NOW to avoid potential euthanasia.
Found as a stray in Long Beach, in the shelter since 2/16/25 — that is over 210 days behind bars.
She is 3–4 years old.
Loving, social, and playful outside the kennel, but experiencing kennel stress (who wouldn’t after more than seven months?)
Volunteer Quotes: “She is a happy girl once outside her kennel. She enjoys long walks and playing in one of our large play yards — especially if there is water in the pool! She has also participated in play groups when she first arrived and has gone on and done well in several pack walks.”
“I did the pack walk with her on Friday and she was very well behaved. She likes to chill out on the benches so she can relax. I think she’d be a great companion dog. She is non dog-reactive on walks and is not interested in squirrels or lizards either.”
Marigold needs a loving home with someone who won’t give up on her – someone who can offer structure, play, decompression, and true companionship.
Interested in adopting?! Message or email Frost Fund – we will help you schedule a prompt meet & greet at the shelter and help to find speedy answers to any other questions (Teamfrostfund@gmail.com)
Have a friendly dog? Bring them along — we’ll help coordinate and communicate the intro needs to shelter staff.
Adoption bonus: Frost Fund will sponsor 1-2 training sessions for you & Marigold with our partner Falco Dog Training OC to support your journey together if you adopt because of seeing this reel.
She is almost out of time.
