Exciting Frost Fund Monty update!! After over 3 months of rescue, shelter decompression, hard work, patience, and training with K9 Drew, our 24th RED LIST RESCUE – Monty – is officially ready for ADOPTION! As a reminder, Monty spent over 250 days in the Long Beach Animal Care Shelter before we were contacted to help step in as he had met emergency status. We are so thankful we were able to pull together the resources (from donors like you) to help make this rescue and his 3.5 months of training possible!

At just around 2 years old, this toy-loving, treat-motivated German Shepherd MIX has mastered the basics—sit, heel, recall, place—and he’s only getting better. He’s smart, social (yes, even with cats!), and full of heart.

Monty will thrive with someone who understands that great dogs take time, someone with experience—or just the patience—to continue the training he’s worked so hard on. We believe he would do great in a family setting!

He’s ready to love, ready to explore, and most of all—ready to go home.

He’s come so far. Now, he just needs someone to believe in him like we do. Monty is officially ADOPTABLE. Could his next chapter start with you?
