RED LIST RESCUE TIME 🚨Adopter (or foster) needed ASAP for sweet Otto who is red listed and approaching euthanasia at the Long Beach Animal Care Shelter. However, due to Frost Fund’s advocating, the shelter has shared they will extend his exit date (which is scheduled for this Sunday). THIS MEANS WE ALL MUST SHARE, TAG, COMMENT AND MAKE OTTO GO VIRAL TO FIGHT FOR HIS LIFE NOW. read below for Otto’s story♥️
Otto is a handsome 6 year old Lab/Staffordshire Terrier mix who absolutely loves people, other dogs, belly rubs, and car rides. He has been at the shelter since November of 2023 when he was found as a stray in the area and brought in. Otto is the biggest sweetheart – he loves getting out into nature and joining pack walks when the opportunity arises!
He is neutered, knows many commands (see video of him in our Instagram post) and is ready for his forever family. He has never show aggression towards people and only excitement and playfulness around other dogs.
Having been in the shelter for over 4 months, combined with little public interest, Otto is sadly starting to experience shelter induced stress, which is leading to his red listed status. (This means that living in a 4×8 kennel for so long now is proving extremely hard for Otto and mentally taxing- as it would be for any one of us!!)
Please, we need to find Otto an adopter or foster ASAP before it is too late and he is euthanized under his current red listed status. HE IS SO SWEET.
If you are interested in adopting (or fostering Otto until an adopter is found), DM @frost_fund on Instagram or email us with the subject “Otto” at teamfrostfund@gmail.com.
We will help schedule a meet and greet with you and Otto and your other dog should you have one! We also offer discounted training packages through our training partner, @k9_drewwthat we would be happy to share more with you about.
PLEASE. SHARE AND COMMENT/TAG FRIENDS SO WE CAN MAKE HIS STORY GO VIRAL AND SAVE HIS LIFE ASAP.
His animal ID number at the Long Beach Animal Care Shelter is A710721.
