LIVES SAVED: Frost Fund and the Red List Rescue Team have done it again! Recently, Frost Fund started a campaign to advocate for the adoption of two red listed dogs at the Long Beach Animal Care shelter.
Mako, a 2 year old playful Belgian Mal came into the shelter on 9/21/23 as a stray. When Frost Fund began his red list rescue campaign, Mako had just 18 days to find an adopter before scheduled euthanasia. After 10 days of advocating 24/7, networking, emailing, commenting, posting, and connecting with potential adopters – we found one just in time! Mako was successfully adopted on on 11/9/23 by his
incredible forever family after seeing our red list rescue post about him. Click here or watch the video below to view Mako’s rescue video!
The second half of this successful rescue effort is the adoption of Winter. Winter had been had at Long
Beach Animal Care since December of 2022, but was thankfully adopted shortly after Mako. She is a
beautiful husky mix and loves to play with both other dogs and kids. Looks like Winter is now
“home for the holidays” with her amazing new family!
Thank you to each and every person who posted, shared and advocated for these two beautiful dogs,
together amazing things can happen.
Be sure to follow Frost Fund on Instagram and YouTube so that you too can be part of the amazing
journey!
