Harley Adoption Application

Thank you for your interest in giving Harley a loving new home! To help Frost Fund and K9 Drew choose the best fit for Harley, please watch the videos below and answer the questions as honestly and thoroughly as possible. All applications will be carefully reviewed. If we believe you’re a good match for Harley, we’ll reach out via email to schedule a Zoom interview and a house check video review to discuss the next steps.

Meet Harley

Harley is a 3-year-old black German Shepherd with a courageous spirit and a story of survival. After spending over 270 days in a shelter, Harley was rescued by Frost Fund and has since been given a second chance at life thanks to the dedication of our partner trainer, Andrew (K9 Drew), and generous supporters.

Over the past 200+ days, Harley has been given time, love, training, and top-tier care in Andrew’s home. He’s learned how to decompress, engage in healthy socialization, and trust again—all supported by limited donations and a lot of heart.

What Harley Needs

Harley is a high-drive, intelligent dog who thrives with purpose and daily activity. He loves to play, search for toys, and would do best with someone who can give him “a job” and structured exercise. Because of his size and natural prey drive, we recommend a home without small children—not due to aggression, but for safety and compatibility.

Adoption Details

Adoption Donation: $500 for family pet, $900 for working dog position.
This contribution supports the life-saving work of Frost Fund and K9 Drew and reflects the investment made in Harley’s recovery and care.
Please note: transport costs from Yuma, Arizona, are not included in this fee.
What’s Included:
Upon adoption, you’ll receive:
- A finalized adoption agreement and transfer of ownership
- Harley’s full medical and behavioral history
- Information on his diet and daily routine
- Training insights from K9 Drew

It is important that Harley goes to a home where he is seen as a family member, not just a pet or commodity. Do you have both indoor and outdoor yard space for Harley to sleep, play, and live comfortably? (Briefly explain your current house set up please. For example, 2 bedroom, secured backyard, etc.)

He will need DAILY exercise and mental stimulation. Is this something you can and will provide?

How often (if ever) will Harley be left alone for more than 4 hours in a day? Please explain if necessary.

Do you plan to purchase pet insurance for Harley, to provide help with financial assistance related to long term vet/emergency care?

Do you understand that although Harley has had training and time to decompress, he may still carry unidentified shelter induced triggers and should be given patience, love, and grace?

Do you agree to remain committed to giving Harley a safe home at all times, never returning him to a shelter regardless of the situation?
