CEO Brittnei Speaks to Chapman Students About Entrepreneurship

One of Frost Fund’s pillars is education. And it’s so important that we not only challenge ourselves to take action, but understand our “why” and help others to find theirs.

Thanks to Dr. Tess Breen I had the opportunity to speak to three classes of students at Chapman University —my alma mater. This was one of those moments that reminded me exactly why I started Frost Fund in the first place. To be invited back to the same classrooms I once sat in, but now standing at the front, sharing my journey in hopes it sparks something in someone else…

This work—this mission—isn’t easy. It’s heavy, emotional, exhausting, and often overwhelming. But it’s also beautiful, purpose-filled, and deeply rewarding. Sharing about building Frost Fund from the ground up, explaining how a passion for animal welfare and community can become something bigger, and watching students’ eyes light up when they realize they can build a life driven by meaning—that is something I’ll never take for granted.

We also brought a long stay adoptable shelter dog with us. Just for a few hours, this special pup got to nap peacefully, free from kennel stress, surrounded by kindness and curiosity. It was a reminder that sometimes the smallest acts—giving a dog a break, speaking honestly to a room full of students—can make a real impact.

I truly believe this is God’s work through me. I don’t always feel qualified or ready, but every time I get in front of a class or a group, something takes over. There’s a fire in me that I can’t ignore, and I know it’s because this mission is bigger than me.

If I can do anything in this life, I hope it’s to help someone believe in their ability to create change. Because once you believe it, the possibilities are endless.

Thank you again, Chapman University, Chapman Entrepreneurship Organization, and Dr. Tess Breen, for welcoming me back with open arms. And thank you to every person who continues to support Frost Fund—you are helping make all of this possible.
