Check Out How Far Monty Has Come After Over 200 Days In the Shelter.

Monty, our first official Harley Project Pup, has just wrapped up his second month of training, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with his progress!

After spending over 250 days in the shelter, Monty is finally settling into a routine and decompressing. Thanks to the guidance of our partner trainer, K9 Drew, Monty is mastering key commands like sit, down, heel, and responding to his name. It’s been incredible watching his confidence grow with each training session. We are beyond proud of how far he’s come!

Here’s a special update from Andrew about Monty’s journey so far: “Monty has been absolutely fantastic in training! A few highlights:

• He’s been highly engaged in our sessions, showing real focus and increasing confidence.

• Monty is starting to take the initiative to problem-solve on his own, though he still accepts help when needed.

• He’s really excelled at holding his positions (Sit, Down, etc.) and maintaining them even at a distance.

• His toy drive has definitely grown, and he’s now equally motivated by food rewards.

• We’ve also been working on Monty’s “Eye Contact,” which helps him stay focused and engaged, whether in training or in everyday situations. It’s his way of saying, “I’m here and ready!”

Monty’s progress is incredibly heartwarming, and we are continuing to give him the time and space he needs to build his confidence. Every day he grows stronger, more connected, and more ready for his forever home. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue his journey!

If you or anyone you know might be interested in adopting Monty VERY SOON, make sure to follow along! We will have the application link up in the next few months.

WAY TO GO MONTY!!
