Red List Rescue Announcement!! Alright team, it’s time to step up and save Milo’s life before euthanasia. Milo is a sweet 1 year old German Shep mix, neutered, gets along well with other mild tempered dogs, has not acted aggressive towards cats, knows basic commands, and is such a great boy!!
He entered the shelter in July of this year when he was found wandering the streets of Long Beach. In August, he was adopted by the person who found him, only to be returned several weeks later. According to the adopter, Milo was “always very friendly with adults and children in their home.”While healing after being neutered, Milo began to act “unsure” and occasionally “barked” at the young child in the home, causing concern with his adopters.
It is presumed that the young child was displaying some type of behavior not favorable for Milo’s healing and space, causing him to act differently than he had before. However, upon return his owners shared “He has been a great dog! Listens, sits, plays ball, shakes, lays down, is great with older kids.” Milo has shown no negative behavior towards other people, kids, or animals at the shelter. But because of the owner returning him to the shelter – Milo has quickly moved up the euthanasia list at the shelter.
He is becoming stressed out and the poor boy is just in need of a loving home to decompress and thrive in. It doesn’t take an expert to look at Milo’s pictures and videos and see that he is not aggressive – and it would be an injustice to see this poor boy euthanized because he wasn’t given the proper chance and love he deserves. Please help us share Milo and find him an adopter ASAP.
HE IS PAST HIS EUTHANASIA DATE AND ON BORROWED TIME AT THIS POINT. Please email and/or DM teamfrostfund@gmail.com if you want to love and adopt Milo. We can help schedule a meet and greet and give you updated info. You can also go visit him at the Long Beach Animal Care Shelter now!!
