Watch Otto’s 90 Second Red List Rescue Adoption Video!

As you know, we have been hard at work advocating for sweet red listed Otto at the Long Beach Animal Care Shelter. Well, after just three days of everyone sharing Otto – we found his miracle adopter!! He was also able to stay with our wonderful foster for 5 days until his adopter could pick him up from Northern California. (His foster was actually Mako’s adopter – our 13th red list rescue pup!) With just three days remaining before euthanasia, let Otto’s story be further confirmation of the power created when we all come together for a common cause and life-saving mission. Please enjoy watching his 90 second video below to learn more about his precious rescue story!

God is so good.

A special thank you to each of you who didn’t just listen to our call for help, but who actually CHOSE to share/repost/tag friends in Otto’s red list rescue post. THAT ACTION is what saves lives. (If you don’t have social media, please know you can always screen shot or reshare the blog post we initially publish about each of our red listed pups.)

And to those of you who donated to the initially planned transport mission for Otto: Please know that all funds donated will be going towards supporting his foster for the 5 days he was with her and for additional training/educational resources for all those involved in this rescue.

The video below is for every single one of you who joined the @frost_fund red list rescue team for our 15th mission and who helped us save Otto’s life!! After over 125 days in the @lbanimalcare shelter – we were able to pull together and make Otto’s story go viral to find him a loving home before his scheduled red list shelter exit date (euthanasia). Otto was found as a stray in November of last year and has not had any interest in adoption since. Having been in the shelter for such a long time, he was becoming stressed and not doing well under such conditions. This is sadly the case for most animals in overcrowded shelters and is why FOSTERING AND ADOPTION IS SO IMPORTANT!!!!
Otto’s rescue story involved the combined scheduling and help of both the red list rescue team, a wonderful foster, a transport driver in stand by, and of course – the angel adopter who stepped in just three days before it was too late.
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO SHARED, DONATED, TAGGED, PRAYED, AND ENCOURAGED US ALL!
These red list rescue missions are never linear and truly teach us something new each time about both animals and people.
They are incredibly hard and scary work. But right now, let’s celebrate Otto and the blessing of his new found life and joy!♥️🐾
PS: Please – adopt. Don’t shop or go to breeders for your next furry family member. Thousands of animals are being euthanized right now due to overcrowding in shelters across America. However, CA is the number one kill state. Nobody wants this. Not the shelters or anyone involved. But until more adoptions and fostering take place – this is the reality.
Sending you all love!! YAY OTTO!!!
