Small Acts Can Lead to Lifesaving Results

As proven by Nala’s Red List Rescue story…

Nala (previously known as Snickerdoodle) was scheduled to be euthanized in a matter of days – that is until our Frost Fund Red List Rescue social media post made its way to Collen and Larry Smith. However, the truth at the time was that Colleen and Larry weren’t looking to add a new pup to their family. But God had other plans.

Upon seeing Nala’s post, Bob knew at a minimum they needed to go meet her. It was during their first interaction with Nala that Colleen explained, “It just felt right,” and after a few hurdles – they quickly adopted Nala.

Recently, I (Stone Heinze) had the pleasure of interviewing Colleen, Larry, and Nala. During our conversation, the continual theme shared was how a small act of faith and kindness has now impacted their lives in an extra-large and beautiful way. And one more simple yet profound piece of advice Larry shared I believe is important for us all was: “Just get off the couch and do something.”

Please remember, whether you join Frost Fund and the Red List Rescue team and simply share a post, or get up off the couch to go meet a pet in need of adoption, EVERY action, big or small can make a difference.

Please take 60 seconds to enjoy a few highlights from my interview with Nala’s adopters below. You can also view on the Frost Fund Instagram and YouTube.
