It is with great announcement that I officially announce the creation of Frost Fund; a 501 (C)(3) non profit whose mission is to provide hope and resources to animals and the people protecting them. For the past six months, I have been working hard at creating a wonderful team of interns, board members, and various platforms to help spread the word. Now, it is a joy to be able to share this new chapter with each of you who have already followed and subscribed to my efforts in animal welfare for the past eight years!

Many of you who have followed along on this journey will already recognize the newly adapted Frost Fund logo as similar to the previous, Why Should You Care’s. Moving forward, I felt it was important to keep the spirit of Why Should You Care alive; as truly WSYC was the fertile soil necessary for the growth, experience, and maturation required to establish this official non profit.

More specifically, exciting podcast interviews with animal welfare professionals, conservation education related posts, red list rescue missions, and sweat to protect bootcamps are just a few of the ways Frost Fund will positively impact the community.

As the CEO, I know Frost Fund was a God lead decision to make. After experiencing one of the most devastating days I have had in animal advocacy, the decision to either grow and do more, or put up walls and stay comfortable had to be made.

I am blessed to have a team of interns and incredible board members who I know will help lead to the overall impact, growth, and success of Frost Fund. For the first time, I am no longer on my own in taking on voluntary initiatives and efforts, but am now a part of a diverse team who is also passionate about animals and conservation.

YOU are also an integral part of the Frost Fund team. As a non profit, we will only be as impactful as the financial, physical, and emotional support we are given in the months and years ahead. Although as a subscriber, you are already involved, below are several new ways you can further your support and impact at this time:

1. Follow Frost Fund on Instagram (@frost_fund). Subscribe to the Frost Fund Spotify podcast.
2. Consider sharing the Frost Fund website, podcast, and Instagram with your friends and family so they might follow and subscribe as well.
3. Share a generous “launch gift” tax deductible donation to Frost Fund. There are 3 easy ways for you to do so: via Zelle, Venmo, or on the website. Click here to learn more and to make a donation.
4. Purchase official Frost Fund merchandise via the store. We have a Frost Fund launch campaign currently running that will end on June 24th. A portion of every purchase made between now and the 24th will go back to Frost Fund.
5. Stay up-to-date on all email announcements (like this one) so that you are aware of fundraising event invitations, new educational content shared, red list rescue missions, and more!
6. Be nice to animals and people at all times!
